2. What BongoDex is

BongoDex is an unofficial fan-made collection tool created for players of Bongo Cat. BongoDex is not affiliated with or endorsed by the developers of Bongo Cat, Irox Games, Steam, or Valve.

Bongo Cat artwork, item imagery, related game assets, names, logos, and marks remain property of their respective owners. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation.

BongoDex may process the following categories of information:

BongoDex does not intentionally request sensitive personal data, financial data, or payment data through its current collection features.

4. Purposes of processing

Necessary purposes

• Authenticate you through Steam OpenID.
• Maintain your signed-in session.
• Retrieve and synchronize your public Bongo Cat inventory.
• Display your collection progress, missing items, duplicates, overview insights, and saved favorites.
• Maintain and improve the item catalog when previously unknown items are discovered through Steam inventory synchronization.
• Respond to privacy requests and protect the operation of the service.

Optional product measurement purposes

BongoDex plans to use product analytics to understand traffic sources, page usage, sign-in conversion, inventory synchronization, and feature adoption. Optional analytics and usability-research tools will be controlled through privacy preferences before public launch.

BongoDex will not intentionally send your Steam ID, Steam profile name, avatar, exact inventory contents, or favorite item list to optional analytics or usability-recording tools.

Some service providers used by BongoDex operate outside Mexico. In particular, the BongoDex database is configured through Neon in AWS US East (N. Virginia), United States (aws-us-east-1). Data needed to operate the collection service may therefore be processed or stored outside Mexico through infrastructure providers used by BongoDex.

8. Data retention and deletion

Session cookies expire according to the periods described above. Inventory snapshots, favorite items, and account-linked records are currently retained to provide collection features until deletion is requested or until an automated retention policy is implemented.

Before public production launch, BongoDex will define or implement the operational process required to delete saved collection data when a valid request is received.

9. Your rights and privacy requests

You may request access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition regarding your personal data, as applicable, as well as request information about the treatment of your data or revoke consent when applicable.

To submit a request, send an email to privacy@bongodex.com including:

• Your name and a way to receive a response.
• Your Steam profile URL or Steam ID, solely to locate the relevant BongoDex records.
• A clear description of the request or right you wish to exercise.
• Information reasonably needed to verify that you are the relevant data holder.

BongoDex will communicate its determination within the periods required by applicable Mexican data protection law.

10. BongoDex is under active development

BongoDex is under active development. Future features may include saved public profile information, collection statistics, public showcases, social or ranking features, donation support, and additional product analytics.

These features are not automatically covered unless they are actually described in this Notice and enabled in the service. If a future feature changes the categories of personal data processed or the purposes for which data is used, this Notice will be updated before that change is made available and consent will be requested when required.

Changes to this Privacy Notice will be published on this page with an updated revision date. When a change materially affects the treatment of personal data, BongoDex will provide additional notice or request consent when required before applying that change.
